Celebration of the 30th anniversary of UEPG
It took place on the 22nd and the 23rd of May, in Vienna, Austria, the UEPG Business forum and Delegates’ Assembly, where once again, representing Portugal, was ANIET, represented by its President Engº Jorge Mira Amaral.
UEPG - European Aggregates Association celebrated its 30th anniversary in an assembly, which had more than 60 representatives of its member states.
On the 22nd it took place the Business forum, with important speeches regarding industrial perspectives, political recommendations and also a study on social acceptance of the extractive industry in Austria. The forum was followed by a visit to a 125 year old quarry.
During the gala dinner, where the 30th anniversary was celebrated, Jim O’Brien, UEPG honorary chairman got over the most important landmarks of the several presidencies.
On the 23rd, it happened the General Assembly, where amongst others issues, once again it was stated that the sector was still in crisis.
