Quarries Alive - 2018
SECIL - The General Company of Lime and Cement, S.A., received and co-hosted the international conference on the environmental recovery of quarries, which took place between May 2nd and 4th, 2018.
Regarding the theme Enhancing Biodiversity and Ecosystems Services in Quarries – Challenges, Strategies and Practice, ANIET attended the event held at the University of Évora, which was co-hosted by this University, by SECIL - The General Company of Lime and Cement, S.A. and by the Faculty of Sciences of the University of Lisboa.
The goal of the conference was to create a connection between recovery projects of quarries worldwide, as well as to develop an interdisciplinary meeting to exchange experiences on scientific research projects, engineering techniques and innovative pilot studies in the context of biodiversity recovery in quarries.
