It was nominated for the position of General Director of the DGEG - Direção Geral de Energia e Geologia, by the Secretary of State for Energy, Engineer Mário Jorge Ferreira Guedes. He has a degree on Mining Engineering and a master degree in Environmental Management by the Minho University.
